Not long ago, we rearranged our schedule to be able to visit the archaeology museum. It was a bit overwhelming. It is not quite as varied in its history as the British Museum, but it goes just as deep. One of the most ironic things is that they have so many old statues, they don't have enough room for them and just leave the extras outside. They even use Corinthian columns as tables in their snack area. Our favorites were the Alexandrian sarcophagus, the Ishtar Gate pieces, the statue of Zeus, and the mosaic floors.
